Allegedly, a person called Jagdish, a resident of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, and claimed that he was close to the Uttar Pradesh government. In return, he would have to pay only Rs 25 lakh. Retired Deputy Superintendent Jagadish agreed to the proposal. Jagadish claims that in the hope of getting a job, he handed over Rs 5 lakh in cash and a cheque of Rs 20 lakh to the fraudster. The man cashed the cheque and took the money. But Jagadish did not get any job call. Later, he filed a complaint with Bareilly police station. An FIR has been registered based on his written complaint. The local police have started an investigation into the matter. However, Disha and her family members have not yet spoken out about the incident.
