Heritage students got opportunity to experience electric bus manufacturing at PMI Electro Mobility

Over 120 students of class XI from The Heritage School, East Kolkata, had a firsthand experience in the manufacturing processes of electric buses at PMI Electro Mobility’s Dharuhera, Haryana plant, India’s largest electric bus fleet operator. The students were inspired by the advanced manufacturing processes and green mobility solutions, which are contributing to India’s progress towards the Net Zero mission, as outlined by Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji.

The day began with a briefing on the plan, safety protocols, and following instructions from plant officials. Students were provided with safety gear and briefed on evacuation protocols in case of emergencies. They were then taken to the main floor of the manufacturing and battery plant to witness daily operations. Many students were surprised to see PMI Electro Mobility’s all-women battery manufacturing plant. Commenting on the visit, Dr. Aanchal Jain, CEO, PMI Electro Mobility Solutions Pvt. Ltd. said, “It was an engaging conversation along with answering their queries about the technicalities of manufacturing of e-buses.”

Students enjoyed an e-bus ride at the plant and expressed gratitude to PMI officials for providing detailed insights on e-bus manufacturing, making it a memorable experience and encouraging them to consider automobile engineering as a career.
