In Assam’s Dibrugarh, Brahmaputra’s water level has risen due to incessant rains. Due to this waterlogging has occurred in different areas of the district.
The India Meteorological Department said on Sunday that heavy rains may continue in several states.
IMD tweeted, “Heavy rains may continue over Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh and East Rajasthan during the next 2 days. Heavy rain likely over Tamil Nadu and Rayalaseema during next 5 days and coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during next 24 hours,”.
Meanwhile, schools remained closed for all children up to class 12 due to heavy rainfall warning by the weather department on Monday in parts of Uttar Pradesh.
