The HDFC Bank, which is India’s largest private sector lender by market value, on Saturday announced that it has reported a net profit of Rs 6,658.62 crore for the quarter ended June 30 which is an increase of 19.58 per cent compared to the corresponding period in 2019. The HDFC Bank had clocked a net profit of Rs 5,568.16 crore in April-June 2019-20.
In a statement, The company also said that its net interest income – or the difference between interest earned and interest paid – increased 17.84 per cent to Rs 15,665.42 crore in the June quarter. Its income increased to Rs 34,453.28 crore in June quarter 2020-21 from Rs 32,361.84 crore in the year-ago same period. The HDFC Bank had clocked a net profit of Rs 5,568.16 crore in April-June 2019-20.
