HaveUs AeroTech acquires land in Kolkata for major MRO expansion

On the occasion of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary, HaveUs AeroTech announced the acquisition of a 2-acre land parcel in Barrackpore, Kolkata, to establish a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility. The first phase will include a 10,000-square-foot facility with capabilities in wheel and brake systems, avionics, and lifesaving equipment.

Located just 11.5 kilometers from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, the facility aims to serve airlines and MROs efficiently, benefiting from strategic logistics proximity. The remaining land will be utilized later for advanced component repairs, including Radomes, Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), and landing gears.

In Kolkata, the initiative positions the city as a burgeoning hub for aerospace services in eastern India. Founder and MD Anshul Bhargava emphasized the untapped potential of the region, highlighting plans to attract business from neighboring countries like Myanmar, Bangladesh, and Nepal. With a planned investment of over ₹50 crore, the facility will also create 100–150 skilled aerospace jobs, boosting local employment. Bhargava called for support from the West Bengal government to transform Kolkata into a vibrant MRO hub. The company’s expansion aligns with India’s “Atmanirbhar Bharat” vision and includes future plans for a significant MRO base in Mumbai.
