Harsh Bubna, a 29-year-old Kolkata-based professional poker player, has become the second player to win the ‘MoneyMaker’ title consecutively. Harsh’s journey in poker began in 2010 and he gradually honed his skills through Zynga and ventured into online tournaments in 2016 before he started playing poker on PokerBaazi in 2017. After 8 years of consistent practice and working on elevating his gameplay, Harsh began his professional career in poker in 2018-19.
Harsh, a Commerce graduate and CA dropout, combines numerical and strategic thinking in poker. He maintains a disciplined routine, including gym workouts and rest before grinding sessions, and recognizes poker’s role in teaching life lessons like patience and hard work. He emphasizes the significance of extensive study, increased volume, and strict bankroll management, utilizing tools like GTO wizard and HRC for regular hand reviews.
Harsh credits his success to his poker circle, which includes friends like Amit Kaushik, Saransh Garg, Avneesh Munjal, Vishal Ojha, Ranjeet Negi, and Aayush Arya, who help him share ideas, discuss hands, and navigate the game.
