Harpic has launched a unique ‘Swoosh Germs Away!’ kit, based on the ‘Sanitation Hygiene Education Framework’, in collaboration with Sesame Workshop India Trust. The kit aims to promote healthy toilet habits in young children, promoting the importance of sanitation for good health. The kit aligns with the National Education Policy and National Curriculum Framework.
Harpic and Sesame Workshop India Trust will distribute kits to 17 lakh children in Puri, Odisha, featuring 3D pop-up books, jigsaw puzzles, and activity booklets. The initiative aims to ensure “safer toilets for all” and encourages young ambassadors to understand cleanliness and hygiene. The kits will also encourage pledges to keep toilets clean for the next person, recognizing them as ‘Swachhta Champions’. Gaurav Jain, Executive Vice President, Reckitt – South Asia, said,“Through Harpic’s partnership with Sesame Workshop India Trust, we are ensuring that children dive deep into the nuances of appreciable social behaviour and positive sanitation.”
The kit promotes positive behavior among school children through storytelling, overcoming language barriers. Sesame Workshop’s colorful muppet characters address critical issues globally. The curriculum encourages positive values and behaviors, focusing on access, usage, and maintenance, promoting safe toilet usage, habit, and behavior change.
