Prem Singh Tamang has congratulated Shri Hari Dhungel on being re-elected as the President of the Nepali Sahitya Parishad, Sikkim for a second consecutive term. In his message, the Chief Minister said that Dhungel’s re-election shows the strong faith and trust that the members of the Parishad have placed in his leadership. He described the result as a clear sign of confidence in Dhungel’s work and dedication towards the literary community of the State. The Chief Minister also congratulated the newly elected office bearers. He extended his wishes to Vice Presidents Smt. Ratna Luksom Subba and Shri Neelam Neopany, Shri Bhim Rawat on being elected as General Secretary, and Shri G.S. Subba as Treasurer. He also conveyed his greetings to all secretaries, office bearers and executive members who have been elected to different positions.
He said that the collective mandate given to the new team reflects a shared commitment to strengthen and enrich Nepali literature and culture in Sikkim. According to him, the Parishad has always played an important role in preserving and promoting the literary and cultural heritage of the State. The Chief Minister also appreciated the vision shared by Shri Dhungel to expand translation work, promote and preserve folk literature, and involve students and youth more actively in literary activities. He said these initiatives are timely and will help literature reach more people across different communities. He added that such efforts will help keep traditions alive and meaningful for future generations.
Expressing confidence in the new team, the Chief Minister said that under Dhungel’s leadership, the Parishad will continue to grow and make steady progress in the field of literature, culture and creative expression across Sikkim.He also thanked all members who took part in the electoral process. He said their participation made the entire exercise democratic and meaningful. The Chief Minister extended his best wishes to all members for their continued enthusiasm and dedication towards the literary movement in the State.
