Hagrama Mohilary-led BPF fields candidates across key BTR constituencies

The Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) has announced its first list of candidates for the Assam Assembly elections 2026, officially entering the electoral race with nominees for 11 constituencies across the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR).The list was released on March 19 from the party headquarters in Kokrajhar and was signed by BPF president Hagrama Mohilary. The announcement covers several key constituencies where the party has traditionally maintained a strong presence.

According to the list, Sabharam Basumatary has been fielded from Gossaigaon, while Rabiram Narzary will contest from Dotma (ST). Sewli Mohilary has been named as the party’s candidate for Kokrajhar (ST), and Rupam Roy will represent the party in Baokhungri.In Parbotjhora, the BPF has nominated Dr. Rezul Karim. Paniram Brahma has been chosen for Sidli-Chirang (ST), while Thaneswar Basumatary will contest from Manas. The party has also fielded Maneswar Brahma from Baksa (ST) and Maheswar Boro from Bhergaon.

For Udalguri (ST), the candidate is Rihon Daimary, and Charan Boro has been named for Mazbat, completing the list of 11 constituencies announced in the first phase.
