Guwahati Railway Station Retiring Rooms, Dormitory Get Upgrade by NFR

Rail passengers at Guwahati Railway Station will benefit from newly upgraded amenities, enhancing their travel experience in Northeast India. The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has improved the retiring rooms and dormitory facilities to boost passenger comfort. General Manager Chetan Kumar Shrivastava announced that the upgraded complex includes nine retiring rooms and a 12-bed dormitory, all now air-conditioned with enhanced interiors and comfortable beds. This initiative aims to create a modern and hygienic environment for passengers. Furthermore, it’s projected that NFR will generate Rs 1.94 crore in non-fare revenue over the next five years, with no maintenance costs compared to the previous management model, indicating a significant financial improvement for the Railways.
