In Guwahati, a 29-year-old man was taken into custody carrying a weapon and ammo. According to a police source, a squad from the Dispur Police Station detained the culprit, Krishna Das, who was from the Botahguli region and lived close to Bagharbari Chowk in Panjabari. They found three live rounds of ammunition and a 7.65 mm pistol with one magazine in his hands. He disclosed during questioning that Akhilesh Yadav (40), a resident of Muzaffarpur, Bihar, who owns a salon in Hatigaon Chariali, Guwahati, was the source of the weapon. “Further investigation, including technical analysis and antecedent verification, is underway,” the source stated. The second culprit was quickly taken into custody by police after he confessed to transporting the pistol from Bihar and selling it to Krishna Das for an outrageous amount of money.
