Gauhati University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pratap Jyoti Handique facilitated NSS National Award winner for the session 2018-19 to Nipamoni Deka at Gauhati University VC conference hall today with a flower bouquet, gamosa and a cheque an amount of rupees ten thousand. In his speech he congratulated Nipamoni Deka for bringing glory to Gauhati University in National level. Prof. Handique has initiated a VC welfare fund after taking over charge as Vice –Chancellor of Gauhati University and she is first beneficiaries to achieve the amount.
Vice Chancellor also congratulated Dr Ranjan Kr Kakati, DSW, GU for providing guidance to NSS volunteers and taking active role for promoting student activities in national level. Dr H K Nath , Registrar, GU, Prof. Dilip Bora ,Secretary University Classes, Sri Chandan Talukdar, Treasurer,Dr Biswajit Sarma, Director,CDC, Prof. Prasanta Saikia , HOD Zoology Dept , Dr Ranjan Kr kakati, DSW, GU Sri Mrinal Jyoti Deka also attended the programme and congratulated Miss Deka.
