Godrej Jersey promotes paneer as protein powerhouse this Nutrition Week

Godrej Jersey has launched a special campaign this Nutrition Week to highlight the nutritional and culinary potential of paneer, positioning it as an indispensable source of protein for vegetarian households across India. Paneer, long regarded as a vegetarian superfood, provides a natural and wholesome protein option. While it has been a staple in northern diets, its versatility allows it to adapt to regional cuisines across India. From Paneer Chettinad in Tamil Nadu to Paneer Tikka in Punjab and Paneer-stuffed Dhokla in Gujarat, the ingredient continues to find innovative roles on plates nationwide.

Speaking on the importance of paneer, Shantanu Raj, Head of Marketing, Godrej Jersey, said, “Paneer is not just a packaged food item, but a must-have ingredient in a balanced diet. A single pack has almost the same protein content as six eggs, making it an essential dish in the great Indian food thali. At Godrej Jersey, we ensure our paneer is soft, fresh, and made from real milk to bring wholesome goodness to every household.” He added that the brand has partnered with celebrity chef Teja Paruchuri, popularly known as Vismai Foods, to inspire consumers through new recipes accessible via QR codes on packaging.

Chef Teja emphasized paneer’s versatility, noting that it can be grilled, stir-fried, blended into curries, or even transformed into desserts, ensuring both taste and nutrition. In Guwahati, a growing urban middle-class and rising demand for high-quality vegetarian protein are pushing paneer sales upward. Local retailers note that consumers are increasingly open to experimenting with new recipes, reflecting how paneer is no longer limited to traditional dishes but is now part of innovative meals across Assamese households.
