Godrej Consumer Products celebrates women and allies across global markets

Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) has launched a global initiative, ‘WomenAlly: Allies in Action,’ to mark International Women’s Day 2025. Spanning Asia, Africa, and Latin America, the month-long program honors individuals advocating for gender inclusion and workplace equity.

GCPL has outlined four key platforms for reinforcing gender inclusivity, including a docu-film on women in sales, manufacturing site discussions on allyship, and the ‘WomenAlly’ event at Godrej One in Mumbai. Additionally, the company will engage in a Family Outreach Initiative to recognize women’s contributions to sales, a traditionally male-dominated domain. The event will also set the roadmap for GCPL’s flagship programs—Godrej ki Shakti, promoting women in manufacturing, and Aarambh, supporting women in sales roles.

“As per the UN’s guiding pillars—Rights, Equality, and Empowerment—our approach to allyship ensures that every individual, irrespective of gender or background, thrives. Our initiatives succeed due to the support of allies within and beyond GCPL,” said Vaibhav Ram, Global Head of HR at GCPL. GCPL’s focus on diversity extends to comprehensive employee welfare policies, offering paid parental and elder care leave, flexible return options, and specialized assistance programs.

In markets like Guwahati, where FMCG sales traditionally see male dominance, GCPL’s initiatives are paving the way for greater female participation. Women in sales and manufacturing are benefiting from structured mentorship, breaking stereotypes, and enhancing workforce diversity. As GCPL strengthens its presence in emerging markets, its commitment to gender inclusion resonates with evolving consumer dynamics in cities like Guwahati.
