Glenmark’s ‘Meri Poushtik Rasoi’ Season 7 boosts nutrition awareness with over 850 entries nationwide

Glenmark Foundation, the CSR arm of Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, in partnership with Idobro Impact Solutions, successfully hosted Season 7 of its flagship nutrition initiative Meri Poushtik Rasoi. With over 850 entries from 23 states and 4 union territories, the contest promoted traditional, nutritious, and locally sourced recipes under the theme “Bacche na rahe kuposhit, jab khana bane poushtik”.

A 7-member expert panel selected 25 finalists for a grand cook-off at Mumbai’s Ramanath Payyade College of Hospitality Management Studies on April 26. Winners included Poonam Jain (Vadodara), Subhadip Dhali (Hooghly), Priyanka Talaulikar (Goa), Nehal Vinod Main (Mumbai), and Mrudul Prabhudesai (Mumbai).

In Kolkata, local chef Subhadip Dhali’s win for his “Kulthi ke Kamaal Dhamaal Platter” is driving renewed interest in Bengal’s traditional superfoods like kulthi dal. This aligns with rising consumer demand in Kolkata for health-focused, homegrown ingredients, spurring potential growth for local food entrepreneurs and nutrition startups. Glenmark’s Cheryl Pinto emphasized the initiative’s collective impact on combating malnutrition. Experts including chefs and nutritionists praised the initiative for marrying culinary heritage with health goals—positioning Meri Poushtik Rasoi as a powerful platform for nutritional innovation and community engagement.
