GCPL launches new Kala HIT with thunderbolt technology, promises 4X faster mosquito elimination

Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) has unveiled a game-changing addition to its household insecticides portfolio with the launch of the new Kala HIT mosquito aerosol powered by Thunderbolt Technology. This latest innovation uses Metofluthrin (MFT) to deliver 4X faster mosquito knockdown, requiring less aerosol for enhanced effectiveness and longer-lasting usage.

The move comes after GCPL’s successful rollout of India’s first government-approved mosquito repellent incense sticks, Goodknight Agarbatti, and the introduction of Renofluthrin—India’s first indigenously developed mosquito control molecule. The Thunderbolt-enabled Kala HIT offers a potent solution for households battling high mosquito infestations, backed by a complete packaging revamp and a refreshing new fragrance.

With a special introductory discount, the 400ml can is priced at ₹180 and the 625ml variant at ₹250. “Consumers demand quick knockdown action, and the new HIT aerosol delivers just that,” said Shilpa Suresh, Head of Marketing – Home Care, GCPL. In Guwahati, where mosquito-borne diseases are a recurring concern, the new HIT aerosol is expected to see strong uptake. Retailers in the city anticipate robust demand for the new variant, especially with the upcoming monsoon season heightening mosquito threats in urban and semi-urban households.
