Future Generali India Life Insurance promotes insurance awareness in Gangtok

Future Generali India Life Insurance Company Limited (FGILI) successfully hosted an insurance awareness and financial inclusion program in Gangtok, targeting rural communities in the region. The event, held at the New Panchayat Office Building Auditorium in Deoralli, engaged 160 key representatives from 51 Gram Panchayat Units across Gangtok and Pakyong districts. The initiative, supported by officials from the Rural Development Department (RDD), aims to boost insurance penetration in Sikkim, aligning with the Government of India’s goal of “Insurance for All by 2047.”

Mr. AlokRungta, MD & CEO of FGILI, highlighted the company’s commitment to providing financial protection to underserved rural areas, emphasizing the need for customized insurance solutions. “Our focus is to ensure that insurance reaches every part of the state, especially in rural areas,” he said.

The event featured an in-depth look at various life insurance products, including Long-term Investing Plans, designed to cater to different life stages. These initiatives are part of Future Generali’s ongoing efforts to engage local communities through street plays, educational activations, and collaborations with local groups such as the Taxi Drivers Association. Gangtok witnessed strong interest in financial protection schemes, with many attendees expressing enthusiasm about the availability of insurance products tailored to their needs. This collaborative effort is a crucial step in achieving financial inclusion in Sikkim, ensuring residents are equipped with the tools to secure their financial futures.
