Fusion Micro Finance, India’s second largest NBFC-MFI, providing underprivileged women with economic opportunities, organized a health check-up camp in collaboration with Netram Eye Foundation NGO in Satgachia, West Bengal. A total of 250 people from nearby villagesattended the camp and received free health check-ups and doctor consultations. Chief Guests present at the health camp include Mr. BrindabonGhosh (Gram Pradhan), Mr. SomnathBhurji (Police Station-IC), Mr. Rizaul SK (Municipality Officer) and Mr. ChirabatiKundu (Indian Bank Cashier).
Rural India is still devoid of conventional healthcare services and medical infrastructure which forces people to travel long distances for medical care. The health camps organized by Fusion Micro Finance are an effort towards offering access to primary healthcare.
During FY 22-23, Fusion has benefited around 2,600 people in 16 health camps across 13 states of India. Fusion Micro Finance organizes regular healthcare programs like Project Ojas: An eye-care initiative, menstrual hygiene management, vaccination program, wheelchair distribution program etc. Mr. GourabDebnath, Regional Manager, Fusion Micro Finance, “We hope that these activities will benefit the underprivileged society and contribute to its development.”
