Free health camps in West Bengal: A step towards preventive healthcare

In a commendable effort to promote preventive healthcare, the SATYA Shakti Foundation, in partnership with SATYA MicroCapital Ltd., launched a Free Mega Health Check-Up Drive across West Bengal. The initiative aimed at enhancing public awareness about health and facilitating a healthier society.

The health camps were successfully held at three locations: Bahanagera, Chhotojiapur, and Jaleshwar Colony, serving around 300 residents. Each camp provided comprehensive medical supervision from certified doctors, along with free consultations and medicines. The services covered various health issues, including women and child health, nutrition, and essential vitals checks such as blood pressure and weight.

Shikha Sharma, Director & CEO of SATYA Shakti Foundation, expressed her gratitude for the turnout and emphasized the importance of these camps in aiding those in need. She stated, “We feel privileged to conduct these free health camps and hope to organize more in the future to enhance overall health.” In Kolkata, this initiative not only addresses health needs but also reinforces the community’s commitment to preventive care. Participants echoed the sentiment for more frequent health camps, highlighting their role in encouraging rural populations to prioritize their health proactively.
