Four Nabbed as Assam Rifles Dismantles Inter-State Tout Racket

On Wednesday, Assam Rifles, in collaboration with Cachar Police, successfully dismantled an active network of touts in Silchar, as confirmed by official sources. The operation, which was propelled by intelligence inputs, resulted in the apprehension of four suspects, including a Nigerian national named Emeka and three Indian nationals: K Malsawmdawngi from Aizawl, and Tinku Hussain Barbhuiya and Ramina Begum Barbhuiya, both from Silchar. The investigation revealed that this module was engaged in the organized illegal entry of foreign nationals from neighboring Bangladesh and Myanmar via the states of Tripura and Mizoram. Additionally, it was noted that the network was also facilitating the egress of undocumented foreign nationals from India, including individuals who were involved in criminal activities, faced deportation proceedings, or had committed visa violations. The operations of this network posed a significant threat to national security and the integrity of immigration controls, highlighting the urgent need for continued vigilance and action against such illegal activities.
