Scams have been started in various ways using IPL. Just as some are trying to use IPL moments to spread awareness, some are trying to cheat by sending fake messages.
A similar incident has been seen with Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Fraud is being attempted by sending messages to supporters by creating fake accounts using Yoni’s Instagram ID and picture.Various supporters have shared screenshots of a message on social media. A message from Dhoni’s account read, “Hello, I am MS Dhoni.
I am sending you a message from my personal account. I am in an area outside Ranchi. I forgot to bring my purse. Can you send me 600 rupees so that I can return by bus?” I can. I will return the money when I get home.”
