For allegedly embezzling about 30 to 40 lakh rupees Panitanki Outpost police have apprehended the in-charge of a drinking water company

Recently Panitanki Outpost police have apprehended the in-charge of a drinking water company for allegedly embezzling about 30 to 40 lakh rupees. Actually the accused, identified as Gaurav Dutta, originally from Kishanganj, but resides in Patti Colony of Siliguri, held a prominent position within the company. Reportedly, Gaurav Dutta’s responsibilities actually included overseeing the provision of drinking water services at railway and bus stations across several states. In fact during this, Gaurav Dutta allegedly misappropriated company funds.

Subsequently, Gaurav Dutta relocated his position from Alipurduar to Siliguri. However, upon discovery of the embezzlement during the company’s audit, a formal complaint was lodged against him at the Panitanki Outpost on Sunday. Acting on the complaint, the Panitanki Outpost police arrested Gaurav Dutta for embezzlement charges. On Monday, Gaurav Dutta was presented before the Siliguri court, while the authorities continue their investigation into the matter. This is very bad incident and police should take it very strictly so that this type of things can get controlled.
