Flipkart partners with NSDC for Skill Development and Employment Opportunities

Flipkart and the National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC) have signed a memorandum of understanding to provide students and aspiring candidates with valuable skills for e-commerce, retail, and warehousing sectors, with Flipkart training, upskilling, and certifying candidates for these roles. The MoU exchange ceremony was graced by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Minister, Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, Shri Atul Kumar Tiwari, Secretary, MSDE and Shri Ved Mani Tiwari, COO, NSDC.

Flipkart and NSDC have agreed to offer free online courses under the ‘Project Bright Initiative’ to enhance students’ skills in India’s e-commerce sector. The courses will cover e-commerce basics, soft skills, and customer service, enhancing employability. Flipkart seeks NSDC’s support for accreditation and certification.

 Flipkart will train, upskill, and provide placements for trainees through its Supply Chain Operations Academy (SCOA) and Project Bright Initiative. As part of the MoU, Flipkart will also participate in NSDC Kaushal Mahotsav job fairs across the country. Speaking at the signing of the MoU, Shri Ved Mani Tiwari, NSDC Director, said, “We plan to take this alliance across the length and breadth of the country to help job seekers get employment of their choice.”
