Flipkart, India’s e-commerce giant, has announced the fifth edition of its ‘Crafted by Bharat’ sale event, celebrating India’s handicrafts and handlooms culture. The event will showcase over 1 lakh products from over 300 art forms across India, set to launch on August 15, 2023.The Flipkart Samarth program celebrates India’s rich cultural heritage by showcasing ancient art forms like Dokra, Tant, and Kalamkari.
The event will feature a dedicated Flipkart storefront, showcasing products by women sellers. The event will feature thousands of artisans, weavers, people with disabilities, women from SHGs, and government emporiums. The event will showcase handicraft and cultural products made in India, attracting people from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, urban centers, and rural regions.
The event will feature various government and private brands, as well as local businesses. Flipkart partners with Samarth artisans, weavers, and handicraft makers to offer market access to over 450 million consumers nationwide. This initiative aims to transform livelihoods and support the government’s ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ vision.
