Flipkart has collaborated with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) to host a workshop aimed at empowering Indian toy manufacturers. This initiative aligns with the government’s strategic push to establish India as a global toy export hub.
The workshop, which saw the participation of hundreds of toy manufacturers from across the country, focused on enhancing skills, fostering innovation, and improving the quality of toys to meet international standards. The event featured interactive sessions and expert-led discussions with Flipkart, emphasizing quality improvement, adherence to industry standards, and leveraging e-commerce for market expansion.
Key government officials, including Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh, Secretary of DPIIT, and other dignitaries, attended the workshop. Singh highlighted the government’s commitment to creating a supportive environment for the toy industry, stating, “By collaborating with industry leaders like Flipkart, we are taking significant steps towards making India a leading exporter of high-quality toys.”Rajneesh Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Flipkart, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the platform’s role in supporting local manufacturers. “Through the Flipkart marketplace, we provide local toy manufacturers with the opportunity to reach customers nationwide, thereby supporting their growth and contributing to India’s development as a global toy manufacturing and export hub.”
