G20 summit is to get started later this week in Guwahati, Assam. Delegates from member countries of G20 are arriving in the region for the meeting, 94 member countries and international organization and officials are invited.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma took to Twitter to share a video of a traditional music performance at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport here to welcome the delegates and hope that the guests enjoy their visit.
According to sources, the state will organize two events in March and one in April. The state will host the first Sustainable Financial Working Group (SFWG) meeting and the Youth 20 Inception event in February as part of India’s year-long G20 presidency.
On February 2-3 the meeting of SFWG will held in Guwahati. Other events are also planned for the delegates and are scheduled accordingly.
