Over 1,250 bikers took part in the enormous 27-kilometer bike rally that was started by Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) Chief Executive Member Tuliram Ronghang from KASA Stadium in Diphu to Borlangfer along Lumding Road. Along with other KAAC executives, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (APCCF) Vipin Kumar Bansal, and other forest officials, Ronghang planted tree saplings at the Karbi Anglong Sports Association (KASA) facility prior to the rally.
Under the idea “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam,” the event signaled the beginning of a comprehensive awareness campaign for widespread plantations. Ronghang said in his speech that the cycling rally will support environmental protection by traveling about 50 miles over the course of a month. In order to encourage people to plant a tree in their mother’s honor as a sign of respect and commitment to the natural world, KAAC will provide free sapling distribution through forest range offices around the district.
10,000 saplings will be planted in Diphu as part of the environmental campaign, helping the district reach its goal of 2-3 crore saplings by September. According to him, the goal of the endeavor is to advance green projects and ecological sustainability.
