Eastern Himalayan Naturenomics™ Forum 2025 Draws Global Leaders in Sustainability

The Eastern Himalayan Naturenomics™ Forum (EHNF) 2025 will be held on December 10-11 and aims to unite global leaders in sustainability, corporate strategists, and innovators to advance ecological resilience and sustainable development in the Eastern Himalayas. This year’s forum will utilize a multi-venue format hosted by four prominent academic institutions in Assam—Gauhati University, IIT Guwahati, Cotton University, and Assam Royal Global University—featuring thematic sessions on Sustainable Land Futures, Water & Energy, Forests & Biodiversity, and Sustainability & Social Entrepreneurship.

During a press briefing, key figures such as Ranjit Barthakur (Balipara Foundation), Dr. Narayan Sharma (Cotton University), and Dr. Hemen Deka (Gauhati University) emphasized the necessity of collaborative efforts among universities, corporations, and local communities to tackle climate and ecological issues while spotlighting youth-led innovation in conservation efforts. The forum will include prominent speakers such as Norway’s Ambassador to India, May-Elin Stener, and sustainability leaders from major companies like Tata Steel and Google, focusing on nature-positive business strategies and green innovation.

Over the two days, discussions will explore nature-based solutions, climate-resilient infrastructure, circular economy models, and the roles of youth technologies in development planning, particularly for the Eastern Himalayas. The Balipara Foundation, leading the initiative, remains dedicated to promoting resilient and inclusive ecological futures through strengthened collaborations among various stakeholders to conserve and restore vital biodiversity hotspots.
