New Delhi: An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 on Richter Scale struck parts of Delhi and the National Capital Region on Friday evening, said the National Center for Seismology. No damage or any kind of injury has been reported so far.
Epicentre of the earthquake was 63 km southwest (SW) of Gurgaon in Haryana around 7 pm on Friday, forcing the people to rush out of their homes.
Delhi-NCR has witnessed several earthquakes over the past three months. The dozens of earthquakes that have jolted the Delhi-NCR in the recent months have created panic among the people.
Experts and several geologists have also warned that these minor tremors could point to a bigger incoming earthquake in the region.
