Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar praised India as the ‘voice of the ‘Global South’, stating that these countries trust India to uphold their global positions. The EAM made this comment while addressing a program organized on foreign policy in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
The EAM highlighted India’s global prominence and expressed interest in connecting with it. He recalled the G20 summit where many countries wanted to connect with India. Despite doubts, India managed to build consensus on various topics. He noted that while people see the final construction, much work goes on behind the scenes. EAM Jaishankar emphasized PM Modi’s global guarantee, emphasizing his efforts to reintegrate Indian citizens during Covid, Ukraine, and Sudan conflicts.
Speaking on ‘Foreign Policy the India Way: From Distrust to Confidence’, he highlighted how India has grown in importance across the world in the last 10 years. Addressing the session, EAM Jaishankar posted a video on social media platform ‘X’ on Tuesday night. In his address, he said, “What kind of preparations the country is making today for the next 25 years, this is the mentality with which we need to come before the world.”
