On Monday, Andhra Pradesh government has announced strict restrictions in the state due to rise in Covid infections. The state saw a sudden jump in coronavirus cases, as over 4,000 were added in just the last five days. The government has imposed a night curfew from 11 pm to 5 am. Markets and commercial establishments will be closed if any Covid violation is reported.
According to the new guidelines, if any violation occurs in following Covid protocol in any market or commercial establishment, such market or establishment shall be closed for one or two days depending on the seriousness of the violation.
In all gatherings including marriages, religious gatherings, and social activities maximum of 200 participants at outdoor locations and maximum of 100 at indoor locations will be allowed.
All movie theaters will operate at 50% capacity. In Public Transportation, it is mandatory to wear mask for both staff and passengers. A penalty has also been imposed for persons without masks in public places. A person without a mask in a firm or shop shall attract a penalty of Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 25,000 depending upon the offence.
