Due to an attempted showing of a “forbidden” BBC programme, DU bans the NSUI leader and another student for a year.
According to a top official, Delhi University has suspended two students—including the leader of the Congress student wing—for a year for allegedly attending a screening of the BBC documentary about the Godhra riots on campus.
According to the memo dated March 10, students will not be permitted to take any university, college, or departmental exams during this time.
The official stated that six further students who were reportedly participated in the incident on January 27 received “less stringent” punishment while hinting that there may be additional pupils involved.
