Dr. Rashmi Saluja, the Executive Chairperson of Religare Enterprises and Chairperson of GTTCI (Global Trade & Technology Council India), was bestowed with the prestigious International Buddha Peace Award at the ‘Mahasaddhammajotikadhaja’ Title conferring Ceremony held on Sunday. The ceremony, hosted at the Myanmar Embassy in New Delhi, was graced by the presence of His Excellency Mr. Moe Kyaw Aung, the Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to India.
The award recognizes Dr. Saluja’s remarkable efforts in promoting peace and global harmony. In her acceptance speech, she emphasized the pressing need for peace in today’s tumultuous world. “In these challenging times, the need for peace is more critical than ever. India has always been at the forefront of promoting peace and harmony, both within the nation and globally. It is our collective responsibility to continue this legacy and work towards a more peaceful world,” Dr. Saluja remarked.
The ceremony witnessed the attendance of eminent personalities including Abhidhaza Maharaththa Guru, Agga Maha Pandita Dr. Ashin Nyanissara, and Abhidhaza Maharaththa Guru, Dr. Bhaddant Nyanesara, alongside over 150 Buddhist monks, followers, and dignitaries from various embassies and diplomatic circles.
