Discussion on border dispute between Meghalaya-Assam

Few weeks ago Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma made a remark on Mukroh village disputed inter-state border, that the village belongs to Assam.

On Tuesday, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma claimed that Mukroh is a part of Meghalaya not Assam.

“I have clearly stated that Mukroh is very much a part of Meghalaya. Facts and figures indicate that. Other statements may have been made but our stand is clear,” Sangma told the assembly.

He also added that residents of Mukro are beneficiaries of various schemes of his government.
