The Skill India Centre (SIC) in Dhenkanal is launched, inspired by institutions like IIMC, aiming to provide high-quality education to unleash youth potential and prepare them for the competitive job market. The launch of SIC will establish Dhenkanal as a future skills hub that will instill confidence in local youth preparing to enter the job market for building lucrative career prospects. Shri Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO, NSDC and MD, NSDC International also addressed the event.
The centre aims to provide students with industry-centric and outcome-driven skills, enabling them to apply emerging trends in the job market. It will offer affordable courses and preserve traditional crafts, promoting them in contemporary contexts. The center will serve as a knowledge hub for Yuva Peedhi, demonstrating its impact on acquiring necessary skills for success in various fields. It will be equipped with modern facilities and state-of-the-art infrastructure, preparing the youth for placement in domestic and global markets.
Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship said, “Skill India Centre inaugurated today, if connected with IIMC Dhenkanal will make it a futuristic centre of modern communication in the coming days. Adding to that he said, “Under the Skill India Mission, the centre will train aspirants and young women in new-age skills likegraphics designing, hospitality, technology services and leather industry.”
