A Delhi school teacher was detained for intentionally hitting a standard 5 student with scissors and pushing her off the first floor of the school building, Delhi Police told on Friday.
According to a report by news agency PTI, the student is undergoing treatment at Hindu Rao hospital and is said the victim is found to be stable at the moment.
The class teacher, employed at Prathmik Vidyalaya in central Delhi’s Model Basti area, was recognised as Geeta Deshwal. She first hit the girl with a pair of scissors and after that threw her off from the 1st floor of the school building, police told.
The prosecutor has been booked under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of the IPC.
