Decathlon, the global sports retail giant, has launched the Kipsta RESIST football series in India, aiming to meet the needs of players across the country’s diverse playing environments. Announced on October 30, 2025, the new range is fully designed and manufactured in India and tailored for surfaces ranging from dry hard grounds to wet and uneven fields, a common challenge for Indian footballers.
The series comprises two models — Training High Resist Ball and Club High Resist Ball. The Training ball features an abrasion-resistant rubber outer layer for long-lasting performance on hard ground, mud, gravel, and grass, meeting FIFA Basic standards. The Club High Resist Ball, designed for club-level and competitive play, offers enhanced control with foam-laminated rubber, thermofusion stitching for longer durability, and is also available in Size 4 for children. A senior Decathlon India representative, Hans Peter Jensen, said the launch reflects football’s rising cultural wave in India, celebrating passion, community spirit, and accessibility in sport.
In football-frenzied Kolkata, where turf grounds and neighborhood maidaans coexist, the RESIST series is expected to find strong demand. With the city’s long-standing football tradition and year-round grassroots play, durable and affordable footballs built for mixed ground conditions can appeal to both club academies and local enthusiasts. The Kipsta RESIST series is now available at Decathlon stores nationwide and online.
