Cummins India has launched its CPCBIV+ emission standard compliant genset engines, announcing the launch by key stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and senior Cummins officials. The CPCBIV+ compliant genset engines were launched by Cummins’ Managing Director, Anjali Pandey, Business Head, Power Systems, and Genset Original Equipment Manufacturers.
Cummins and its GOEM partners are launching a range of gensets up to 800 KWh, compliant with CPCBIV+ emission norms. These advanced engines feature advanced after-treatment systems and engineering expertise, improving fuel efficiency and load-taking capability. They facilitate reliable and seamless transition from the grid to genset power, even under extreme conditions. The engines also offer remote monitoring and advanced engine control capabilities, allowing users to monitor engine performance metrics and parameters remotely.
Speaking at the launch event, Mr. Ashwath Ram, Managing Director, Cummins, said,“We strive to ensure that whenever our customers think power, they think of Cummins.”The Indian government enforces CPCB IV+ emission standards since July 1, 2023, which reduce PM and NOx concentrations by 90% compared to CPCB II standards. These standards cover prime and stand-by use gensets, covering all fuel types for engines with up to 800 kWh power output.
