Cummins India Limited, one of the leading technology providers of power solutions, has received various CPCBIV+ compliance certifications from the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). Dr. Reji Mathai presented the certificates to Dr. Pradheepram Ottikkutti and Ms. Shveta Arya in a ceremony held at the ARAI headquarters in Pune.
Senior officials from ARAI and Cummins India were present during the ceremony. The certification is for various range of genset products. Cummins India Limited has been certified by ARAI to provide customers with CPCBIV+ emission norms compliant gensets, effective July 1, 2023.
The CPCB IV+ emission standards are one of the most comprehensive and stringent emission norms for power generation engines that the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) will implement from July 1, 2023. They will reduce particulate matter (PM) and harmful oxides of nitrogen (NOx) concentrations by 90%, and establish a single standard for both prime and standby usage of gensets with an engine power output of up to 800 kWh.
