Cummins India commits to back up Gender Reassignment Surgery for its employees

Cummins India, a leading power solutions technology provider, has announced Gender Reassignment Surgery (GRS) support for its employees. Through the support, employees who have decided to transition to their self-identifying gender will receive financial assistance for their surgery. As the world celebrates Pride month, Cummins India stands as a beacon of support to the LGBTQ+ community, embracing values of togetherness, self-expression, and equality.

Cummins India periodically assesses its policies to align with the company’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) framework. Recently, the organization announced its Gender-Neutral Dress Code Policy and implemented Gender Neutral Washrooms. The India Pride Employee Resource Group (ERG) has been actively celebrating LGBTQ+ Pride Month, participating at the Pride March, and advocating for LGBTQ+ rights and well-being through initiatives such as the Pride Ally Program, Know Thy Pronouns campaign, LGTBQ+ 101 Training, and Safe Leader Training.
