The inaugural chapter of ‘Vividhata ka Amrit Mahotsav’ concluded with resplendent cultural displays and fervent celebrations at the iconic Rashtrapati Bhavan, highlighting the diverse heritage of Northeast India. The event, inaugurated by Hon’ble President Smt. Droupadi Murmu, witnessed a gathering of esteemed dignitaries, including Cabinet Minister Shri. G. Kishan Reddy and Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Development of Northeastern Region of India, Shri. Kiren Rijiju.
The festivities, organized by the Ministry of Development of Northeastern Region in collaboration with the Northeastern Handicrafts & Handlooms Development Corporation Limited (NEHHDC), showcased the rich tapestry of Northeastern culture through vibrant performances and exhibitions. Hon’ble President Murmu, in her address, lauded the initiative’s efforts in promoting unity and diversity, urging citizens to embrace and explore the enchanting Northeastern region.
The event, held as part of Udyan Utsav 2024 at Amrit Udyan within the Rashtrapati Bhavan premises, drew praise from attendees, including Honorable MPs, Governors, Cabinet Ministers from Northeast India, and a multitude of officials and guests.
