CRPF Raising Day Parade to Be Held in Guwahati for First Time

The 87th CRPF Raising Day Parade will take place in Guwahati on February 21, marking the first occasion that this significant event is hosted in the North East region of India. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed the attendance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah at this notable celebration of 87 years of the Central Reserve Police Force’s service and dedication. A CRPF official emphasized the importance of this event, which will feature a display of courage and cultural heritage.

The parade will showcase various high-energy drills performed by specialized units such as Women, CoBRA, and RAF, along with mesmerizing demonstrations of traditional Indian martial arts. In preparation for the main event, a series of public display programs will be conducted in Guwahati from February 12 to 17, as part of the observance of the CRPF Raising Day Parade. These pre-event activities will include a bike rally, stunts, a band performance, and yoga sessions happening at different venues: Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra on February 12, Sati Radhika Shanti Park, Uzan Bazar on February 13, Khanapara Walking Zone on February 15, Brahmaputra River Heritage Centre, Pan Bazar on February 16, and Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu on February 17.
