Congress refuses to meet Election Commission team

Due the ongoing delimitation exercise of Parliamentary and Assembly constituencies, Assam Congress was asked to meet the Election Commission (EC) team for their rising question.

As, the Election Commission team arrived in Guwahati on Sunday evening to meet all stakeholders regarding the delimitation.

But now according to the reports, Assam Congress has refused to meet the team.

Bhupen Borah, the president of Assam Pradesh Congress said eleven political parties were allowed a cumulative time of 3 hours to meet the EC team, which means each one of us had hardly more than 15-20 minutes to express our views.

Due to this timing issue Assam Congress has decided not to meet EC team. They have also claimed that there is no objection regarding the delimitation exercise in the state.
