CoinSwitch, India’s largest crypto trading platform, has launched a groundbreaking initiative to promote cryptocurrency understanding by translating the Bitcoin Whitepaper into 10 Indian regional languages. The whitepaper, Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System, originally authored by the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto, is now accessible in Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, Urdu, Kannada, Odia, and Malayalam.
The initiative comes at a time when Bitcoin has surged to an all-time high of approximately $99,500, fueled by a pro-crypto stance in the U.S. and growing institutional investments. Speaking about the project, Balaji Srihari, Business Head at CoinSwitch, said, “By making the Bitcoin Whitepaper available in regional languages, we aim to increase awareness, empower users with knowledge, and dispel misconceptions surrounding crypto.”
In Kolkata, the initiative aligns with the city’s growing tech-savvy population, which has shown significant interest in emerging financial technologies. By providing resources in Bengali, CoinSwitch is bridging the gap for the local audience, ensuring that crypto awareness reaches grassroots levels. Available for download on the CoinSwitch website, the translated whitepapers aim to empower individuals with knowledge, fostering informed decisions rather than speculative trends in the rapidly evolving crypto space.
