Coca-Cola India widens festive distribution network as consumer demand shifts across occasions

Coca-Cola India is expanding its festive-season market presence across Maharashtra and other states, with bottling partner Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) strengthening distribution, retail reach and community-level engagement. The company is targeting multiple consumption occasions through partnerships with festive pandals, Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), neighbourhood markets, eateries and other high-footfall locations.

The market strategy covers both in-store and at-home consumption, with beverages being made available through neighbourhood retailers, retail and trade partners and quick-commerce platforms. Affordable pack formats, cooling infrastructure and last-mile availability are being leveraged to improve access to chilled beverages during festive gatherings, meals and travel.

Desmond Nikhil D’Souza, Vice President – Integrated Operations (HCCB) & Commercial, Coca-Cola India & Southwest Asia, said the festive programme is aimed at supporting consumer refreshment while creating economic opportunities for local vendors and retailers. Vinay Nair, Chief Commercial Officer, HCCB, said the company’s manufacturing and distribution capabilities would support seamless availability across Maharashtra.

In Kolkata, the festive period remains an important demand window for beverages, with pandals, eateries, neighbourhood retailers and household gatherings creating multiple consumption points. Coca-Cola’s ‘Locally Yours’ campaign further strengthens its focus on neighbourhood retail networks.

The company is also pursuing used PET bottle collection at pandals and a ‘Waste to Wonder’ live-art initiative with Doodle Mapuls, using discarded bottle caps and labels for upcycled street art.
