Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, mocking him as an “innocent child” and suggesting that he should “stay home and watch cartoons.”
Sarma’s remarks came in response to Gandhi’s recent statements, with the Chief Minister likening the Congress leader to a “phantom.” Sarma said, “Rahul Gandhi imagines himself as a phantom, possibly influenced by comic books he read in his childhood. I believe he’s still at an age where he should watch cartoons.”
Sarma also commented on protests in Jammu and Kashmir following the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli airstrike. Criticizing PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti’s reaction, Sarma said, “There’s a Nasrallah inside India, and he should also meet the same fate.”Mufti had suspended her election campaign in the wake of Nasrallah’s death, which sparked peaceful protests in parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
