CM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma visits Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital

Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Kokrajhar for two days, attending a number of events and spending the night at the Bodoland Guest House in Bodofa Nagar. With Minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma by his side, the Chief Minister visited Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital on the second day of his tour and spoke with the college’s officials. Following his knowledge of Kokrajhar Medical College’s limitations and grievances, the Chief Minister informed the media that Kokrajhar Medical College and Hospital need an MRI machine, nurse quarters, and rooms for doctors.

He said, “I have noted everything, and the issues will be resolved to the best of my ability.” The Chief Minister stated that he would look into the situation of Dr. Sujit Giri, a snakebite specialist, who allegedly sought to leave his position after being insulted by a magistrate. Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma headed back to Guwahati after his visit at Kokrajhar Medical College.
