Clash of Clans has reunited with WWE for a second collaboration, bringing a month-long in-game hunt for WWE legend John Cena’s village, with millions of players being enlisted by WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes to track down and raid his base. Starting September 1 and running through September 30, players can search for Cena’s loot-filled village during their daily raids. Successful raids offer players a chance to locate Cena’s base and earn a one-time-only Cody Rhodes statue for their in-game village. Rhodes, who has played Clash of Clans for a decade, and Cena are both long-time players of the game, with their gaming rivalry reportedly predating their battles in the WWE ring.
Cena has also joined the storyline, saying the rivalry began after he out-raided Rhodes in the game and removed him from his team. The collaboration features six WWE Superstars reimagined as Clash of Clans Heroes: Rhodes as Barbarian King, Alexa Bliss as Archer Queen, The Undertaker as Grand Warden, IYO SKY as Royal Champion, JeyUso as Minion Prince and Kane as Dragon Duke.
In Kolkata, the crossover could further strengthen the appeal of Clash of Clans among Kolkata’s large gaming and WWE fan communities, particularly by combining mobile gaming with popular wrestling personalities and limited-time rewards.
