Citroën India has launched the Basalt, marking India’s debut of a mainstream SUV coupé that combines rugged SUV characteristics with sleek coupé elegance. The Basalt, starting at an introductory price of INR 7.99 lakhs, is available in six variants and offers a choice between 1.2 L Gen 3 PURETECH 110 turbo and PURETECH 82 Naturally Aspirated engines. Deliveries are set to begin in the first week of September across 85 La Maison Citroën phygital showrooms.
Designed to offer a superior driving experience, the Basalt features a class-leading wheelbase and Advanced Comfort® Cushion Suspension for enhanced comfort. Its robust safety features include six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and ISOFIX child seat anchors. The vehicle’s design highlights include a Piano Black Signature front grille, LED Vision Projector headlamps, and a high ground clearance of 180 mm.
