CID Personnel Also Spotted Near House, Alleges Kokrajhar Janata Party Founder Abhijit Deepak

Kokrajhar Janata Party founder Abhijit Deepak has hit out at the police over allegations that people coming to meet him are being stopped.

Speaking to the media on Friday, the young leader said that despite not wanting it, a Sub-Inspector has been deployed outside his residence in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. He alleged that the officer is preventing people who come to meet Deepak.

Even as police personnel have been deployed at Deepak’s residence for security, the Kokrajhar Janata Party founder has now raised allegations against the officer. According to Deepak, whenever people come to his residence to meet him, the Sub-Inspector tells them to leave. At the same time, the officer also keeps a watch on who is coming to his house and who is meeting him.

Two videos of the incident have also gone viral on social media. In one video, Deepak is seen speaking to the Sub-Inspector, who is in plain clothes. Identifying the police officer as ‘Suresh’, Deepak asks him to leave his residence. In another video, the Kokrajhar Janata Party founder is seen speaking on the phone with a senior police officer and lodging a complaint against the officer.

Expressing anger over the officer’s conduct, Deepak said, “When I am asking people to come to my house, what is the problem in stopping them from coming here? The police cannot decide who I will meet and who I will not meet.” He also demanded that the officer be removed from his security detail.

Additionally, Deepak alleged that personnel from the state’s Crime Investigation Department (CID) in plain clothes have been roaming around near his residence. According to him, a journalist informed him about seeing CID personnel near his house. Deepak claimed that when the police tried to remove those people, they identified themselves as CID staff.
